Commissioner William “Bill” Edwards to Hold Community Listening Session | Print |

Fulton County Commissioner William “Bill” Edwards, District 7, will host his Second Quarter “Community Listening Session” on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.

The public is invited to voice their comments about Fulton County services in South Fulton. 

All citizens, including youth, are urged to participate in the session, which will be held in the South Fulton Government Service Center Auditorium, located at 5600 Stonewall Tell Road in College Park, Georgia.

The month of May is when the nation honors older Americans and the theme for 2012 —Never Too Old to Play!— recognizes the value that older adults continue to bring to our communities through spirited participation in social and faith groups, service organizations, and other activities. Throughout May, Fulton County will shine the spotlight on the important role older adults play in our community.  The celebration officially begins May 2, when the Fulton County Board of Commissioners issues a proclamation honoring senior adults living in Fulton County.

In observance of Preservation Week: Pass It On!, the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System (AFPLS) will present a series of free public programs, events and activities on the importance of preserving personal, family, community and cultural memories and treasures. These programs are supported in part by a grant from the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Foundation.
