 The Superior Court of Fulton County is proud to announce the appointment of two new presiding jurists to the Juvenile Court Bench which include Associate Judge Juliette W. Scales and Willie J. Lovett, Jr. 

Fulton Receives Historically Low Interest Rate on 2013 Tax Anticipation Notes | Print |

At its May 1, 2013 meeting, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved the issuance of $200 million of Tax Anticipation Notes (TANs).  Wells Fargo Bank was the lowest bidder with a net interest cost of 0.149027%.   The County will save over $300,000 in interest payments compared to the 2013 budgeted amount.

At the May 1, 2013 Board of Commissioners meeting, Fulton County Commissioner Liz Hausmann, District 3, and fellow commissioners recognized the Fulton County School System with a proclamation in honor of its recent receipt of the Magna Award for school innovation as well as other recent achievements.

WHO:    The Fulton County Arts & Culture Southwest Arts Center hosts the Atlanta Symphony Talent Development Concert   

WHAT:   The Fulton County Arts & Culture Southwest Arts Center for the second year hosts the Atlanta Symphony Talent Development Concert.  Join us as we listen to young musicians of the Talent Development Orchestra perform beautiful music during their spring concert.  The Southwest Fulton Community strongly supports this group and look forward to attending the concert on a yearly basis. The concert is free and open to the public.

State-issued Burn Ban Begins May 1st in Fulton County | Print |

Due to a burning ban by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, beginning May 1 and continuing through September 30, 2013, Fulton County residents will be prohibited from burning leaves, tree limbs, other yard waste or land clearing debris.

Portion of McClarin & Godett Roads to Close Temporarily Due to Emergency Railroad Crossing Repairs | Print |

Due to emergency repairs at CSX Railroad crossings, McClarin and Godett Roads in South Fulton will close temporarily at the railroad crossings, with scheduled repairs beginning April 25.
