As part of the greater effort to get more people in our community to exercise their right to vote, the Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections encourages residents to join others across the nation in supporting National Voter Registration Day. On September 24, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., residents are invited to register to vote and encourage others to do so.

This year Fulton County Registration & Elections will partner with area high schools and colleges including events on the campuses of Georgia State University, the Atlanta University Center (consisting of Spelman College, Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University), as well as Atlanta Metropolitan State College. The day will also include registration activities at North Fulton Service Center, South Fulton Service Center and Fulton County Government Center.

"This year we are making an effort to reach out to the next generation of citizens to encourage them to exercise their constitutional right to vote,” says Richard Barron, Director of the Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections. “The hope is that not only are these young people are empowered to exercise that right, but that they encourage eligible family members, friends, co-workers, and others to register as well.”

On National Voter Registration Day, several high schools in the County will participate and Deputy Registrars will make themselves available to register voters.
Fulton County voters can also register to vote at every library and the city hall in each of 15 cities. Georgia also offers online voter registration at https://registertovote.sos.ga.gov   Voters who are already registered can take this opportunity to update their voter registration if they have recently moved.
