Fulton County has received national recognition for its use of best practices in information and communications technology. This week Fulton County’s website was named as one of the top 2011 Digital Counties Survey winners.

The survey is conducted annually by the Digital Communities program, a joint effort of the Center for Digital Government and Government Technology Magazine. This awards program is aimed at highlighting innovation and achievement in technology implemented by county governments.

“We are pleased that Fulton County has been recognized as a leader in the use of information technology solutions to promote the excellent work being done and shared through the power of technology," said Zachary Williams, Fulton County Manager. "Fulton County government recognizes the significance of the “connected citizen” and supports technology innovation efforts that ensure improved communications to the Fulton County community.

“Information Technology is used to support almost every aspect of this government's operation. This award recognizes our use of technology to support efficient and effective programs and services,” said Ryan Fernandes, Fulton County Director of Information Technology.
