Fulton County Board of Commissioners Approves New Equipment for Fulton County Fire Department | Print |

At its April 14, 2015 Board meeting, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved the purchase of three new fire trucks for the Fulton County Fire Department.

The Board approved $1,269,353 to lease purchase fleet vehicles for the South Fulton Service District. In addition to the three new Spartan Gladiator ERV Engines, the amount includes one Command Vehicle.

“With this approval, we will be better positioned to respond to fire incidents,” states Fire Chief Larry Few of the Fulton County Fire Rescue Department. “In addition to being able to add three fire engines to our fleet, the new fire command vehicle will enable us to expand our central on-site command capabilities. This is a win for unincorporated Fulton County.”

The Board also approved the lease purchase of ten Police Pursuit Vehicles and four Parks & Recreation vehicles. All approved equipment will service Unincorporated South Fulton County.
