Fulton County Fire Rescue Department Issues Reminder of Temporary Suspension of All Outdoor Burning | Print |

The Fulton County Fire Rescue Department (FCFRD) wants to remind residents that the Georgia Forestry Commission has Temporarily Suspended all Outdoor Burning because of continuing drought conditions throughout Fulton County.  The suspension on outdoor burning includes all permitted fires such as land clearing, pit  burns and bonfires as well as all permitted burning of natural vegetation yard debris fires.

Outdoor burning will resume once  conditions are within an acceptable range and the suspension has been lifted by the Georgia Forestry Commission.

When the suspension is lifted, residents can obtain a burn permit by calling 1-877-OK2-BURNalt (652-2876) or visiting the Georgia Forestry Commission website. Fires should not be initiated before 8:00 a.m. and should be completely extinguished before dark.
