Commissioner Arrington Reaches Out to Those in Need with “Blanket Atlanta With Love” | Print |

Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr., in cooperation with the Fulton County Department of Community Development, will sponsor a drive to collect new or gently used winter coats, clothes, blankets, and toiletries to help those who are in need during the holiday season.   As part of the “Blanket Atlanta with Love” drive, bins will be placed at Fulton County facilities to gather blankets, coats, ponchos, and other cold weather clothing from November 5 through November 16, 2018. The Drive will culminate with the distribution of the new and gently used goods collected at the Fulton County Government Center on November 19, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm.

“As we prepare for a season of giving, we also should ensure that we find ways to reach out to those in desperate need of the basics many of us take for granted,” says Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr.   “Each year this event provides so many of our "invisible citizens" with a sign that those in our community care about their plight.”
The collection bins will be placed at the following locations in Fulton County:

            141 Pryor Street SW
