On Friday, October 18th, 2019 the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) declared a Level 1 drought response for 103 counties in Georgia, including Fulton County and the surrounding area.   According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, every part of Fulton County is currently experiencing either severe or extreme drought conditions.   For more information on the drought response declaration, please visit our Drought Page.

Fulton County Public Works Department provide the basic foundation of our day-to-day comfort including sanitary sewer and water distribution systems maintenance; stormwater management services; water and pollution prevention education to residents, schools, communities, and businesses; maintenance of paved and unpaved roads, bridges, and traffic signals; coordination of the County's street light program; and management the South Fulton Comprehensive Transportation Plan.

Our mission is to protect the health, safety and welfare of Fulton County's citizens through systematic planning, construction, maintenance and operation of the water, wastewater, stormwater and transportation infrastructure in the most sustainable, efficient and environmentally sound manner.
